Sophia Saleh is a vocalist and songwriter whose music blends R&B, pop, soul, and emotional ballads. Her songs are rooted in storytelling and vulnerability, often shaped by a smooth vocal tone and a deep love for honest expression. She’s performed across a wide range of stages, from major college events and concerts to fashion shows.

Recent highlights include serving as the featured singer and "showstopper" for both the opening and closing of the 2025 Intandem Fashion Show, which showcased pieces by Good Balance, a brand presented at New York Fashion Week. She also continues to tour with emerging artist Majinheartz on the Good Purp Tour, performing their original song, "Lost," live at venues, most recently at Wonderville in NYC. She has also recently performed at Club Cumming in NYC, the LL Bean flagship in Freeport, and at many large-scale events at Colby and Bowdoin College.

A 2025 graduate of Colby College, Sophia spent four years in an a cappella group, serving two years as president. In that role, she led the group artistically and organizationally, shaping their vocal blend, managing bookings and logistics, and expanding their presence both on and off campus. She’s also contributed vocals to public video campaigns and has a background in musical theater and classical choral singing.

Sophia is releasing her debut EP starting this summer. With a growing catalog of original work and live experience across genres, she continues to establish herself as a versatile and expressive performer to watch.

Unmuted: A Boston-Born Trio

Unmuted is a Boston-based trio made up of Sophia Saleh, Louis Shriber, and Liam McGowan, three musicians who first met in high school and reunited post-college to create a sound that blends R&B, pop, jazz, and soul with emotional honesty and musical curiosity. Reconnecting after years of growth and performance in their own worlds, the band came together naturally, sharing a passion for making music that feels good to play and even better to share.

Sophia is the band’s vocalist and songwriter, creating music that blends honest storytelling with smooth, expressive vocals. With recent performances at Wonderville and Club Cumming in NYC, and the Intandem Fashion Show (featuring New York Fashion Week–presented brand Good Balance), she brings a deep emotional core and a growing catalog of original songs to the group’s live and recorded sets.

Louis, a conductor, arranger, and jazz vocalist/pianist, brings a rare versatility to the band. A graduate of the University of Rhode Island and a current master’s student in Choral Conducting at New England Conservatory, Louis has performed across New England in jazz ensembles, vocal groups, and as a soloist. His musical depth adds nuance, color, and a choral-meets-jazz sensitivity to the group’s evolving sound.

Liam, a guitarist and bassist with roots in the indie and alt-rock scenes, rounds out the trio’s dynamic. With experience in bands like Gym Class and Turtleneck, and a love for rock, jazz, R&B, and everything in between, he brings the groove, grit, and warmth that give Unmuted its pulse.

Together, they perform original music written by Sophia and brought to life collaboratively, alongside carefully chosen covers that honor the songs they grew up on. Whether on a stage or in a living room, Unmuted is about connection, freedom, and playing music that reflects who they are individually and as a collective.
